MODEL 211 STEREO TEST RECORD – COVER (1963) (Cover Design: Borys Patchowsky) While the record states “Nothing other than the human ear is required to use…”, the various tests on the record had the listener helm their Hi-Fi components like a NASA technician on launch day. Tests included: Speaker Phasing, Channel Balance, Frequency Response, Stereo Separation and Spread, Hum, Rumble and Flutter. An additional “Stroboscope” test is included, which required the listener to stare at markings printed on the labels as the record spins at 33 rpm.

Note: Our technicians are convinced that the "Stroboscope" test was to induce the listener in to a trance, and through subliminal messaging, purchase the Andy Williams LP “Days of Wine and Roses”. Backward masking tests of this album are ongoing.
