BUBBLEGUM GRAVEYARD LP – INSERT (2012) (Art Design: Bill Roe) The band Apache Dropout included this gag insert in the vinyl release of Bubblegum Graveyard, featuring a cut-along-the-dotted-lines mask for an “Undead Jughead”. The cut-out insert is probably the most prolific “interactive” element of long-play records in popular music. Notable examples include inserts featuring cut-out band items from The Beatles’ Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band and Overton “Earthman” Lloyd’s designed characters for Parliament’s Motor Booty Affair and it’s Oz-like gatefold pop-up of Atlantis.
